Network cameras that speak ONVIF or RTSP, the standard languages security cameras use so that other programs can read them. Attento! already knows Tapo, Reolink, Hikvision, Dahua and Imou; for the others there's “Other camera”. The program finds them on the network by itself: all you need is the camera's username and password. If you're not sure about your model, write to us before you subscribe.

The Attento! program on a computer that stays on at the farm, on the same network as the cameras: a Mac with an Apple chip (macOS 12 or later) or a 64-bit Windows PC. On a Mac you drag it into Applications; on Windows you move the folder into Documents and double-click Attento!. The program isn't signed yet: the first time, the computer asks you to confirm (“Open Anyway” on a Mac, “Run anyway” on Windows). No need to open ports on the router. On your phone, the app opens in the browser: on iPhone you add it to the Home Screen (iOS 16.4 or later); on Android you use Chrome.

Yes, with the Pro plan. The program on the home computer looks at a few frames of every movement and works out whether it's a person, a vehicle or an animal. For animals, our server in Germany also says which one (wild boar, fox, roe deer…), from a crop of the photo that isn't kept. It works on Macs with an Apple chip and macOS 14 or later, and on 64-bit Windows PCs. On the Free plan, and on other computers, Attento! alerts you about every movement in the zone, without saying what caused it. Attento! does not recognise faces.

Not many. The phone rings only during the alarm's hours (by default: at night, from sunset to sunrise), once per episode and at most once a minute per camera; with Pro, only for what you've chosen in “What alerts you”. Everything else waits quietly in your alerts, with its video. You can shrink the zones, change the hours and adjust the sensitivity whenever you like.

Alert videos and photos are kept for 7 days on servers in the European Union, in Germany, linked to your account, then they're deleted automatically; the alert stays in the history, without the video. The camera passwords stay on your computer. We don't sell your data and we don't use it for anything else. To close your account and delete everything, just write to help@cobaltstudio.app. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

No, and that's on purpose. With the Pro plan, the live view starts when you open it and closes when you leave the screen; after 2 minutes it asks whether you want to keep watching, up to 10. It isn't recorded. What's always working is the detection: zone, alert, video.

We'll tell you. If the computer hasn't answered for 10 minutes, or a camera hasn't sent video for 15, you get an alert on your phone, even with the alarm off, and another when everything's back to normal. The program starts by itself when you switch the computer on and, while it's watching, it doesn't let the computer go to sleep.

No. It's extra help for keeping an eye on the farm, not a certified alarm system or a security guard service: it alerts you on your phone, it doesn't call anyone and it doesn't sound any sirens.

The Free plan has 1 camera with the alarm and hours, zones, “Photos now”, one alert per episode and alerts with video. Pro, at €7.99/month, goes up to 4 cameras and adds the live view on your phone, recognition of people, vehicles and animals (“What alerts you”) and “Search”. You can turn it on from the app whenever you like, even with just one camera.

Yes. The subscription is monthly and you cancel it from the app, under “Manage subscription”, with no phone calls. You keep using Pro until the end of the month you've already paid for, then you go back to the Free plan: one camera works, the one you choose. The others stay set up, paused, until you reactivate Pro.
